I Hate Writing Articles - Isn't There An Easier Way?!

Almost every internet based business or site uses articles.  Articles quench the thirst for information and knowledge, and provide many benefits for a site.

Articles can help improve your ranking in search results.  They can also attract visitors to your site.  They may help you get backlinks when someone who likes the articles posts a link to it from their site.  Articles can be used to build customer confidence and trust for your site and company.

"Word of mouth" or "viral" advertising as it is now called happens when someone likes your site and recommends it to other people they know.  This can produce a large volume of traffic, and the wonderful thing is that it is basically free!

We have established that articles can be very useful to a site and online business.   There is one dilemma, though.  Not many people like writing articles.

Many website owners need to spend their time on other projects, and article writers can be expensive.  Plagiarism of other articles is illegal and could easily get you into trouble.

So what are the other options?

There are some membership or monthly pay sites that will produce unique articles for you without charging too hefty of a price.  PLR articles are another great alternative for those with a smaller budget.  You can find PLR articles on a wide variety of topics, and they usually cost far less than having unique articles written. 

The drawback with PLR is that you will have to invest either a little more time or money to have them rewritten into unique articles.  But since the article is already written for you, it takes far less time to rewrite (or rephrase) the PLR than to write an article from scratch.

You can also find free articles.  The first place to look at for free articles is the public domain. Here you won’t have problems with copyright infringement, and don't have to worry about penalties and fines for plagiarism.

Public domain articles are articles that are copyright expired or otherwise available for public use.  You can do whatever you want with it.  The downside to public domain articles is that since it is free for everybody, any of your competitors can gain access to them as well.

To ensure that your site remains original and unique, you may wish to edit public domain articles a bit.  In this respect they are similar to PLR articles.

Another way to get free articles is to reprint articles from other sites which have the same niche as yours.  This should only be used to supplement your existing content.  The potential drawback to this is that you must include the resource box with the article.  That means you will have links leading to other sites.

However, this can also be of benefit in search engines.  If you have outbound links from  your site to other sites with similar relevant content, this may help increase your search engine ranking.

To get the most out of what articles can do for you, it is best to use mostly original ones. There are many ways to get good articles with content relevant to your site, and several ways to make them unique.

When you create your own articles, the investment is worthwhile because you hold the copyright to them and you can use them any way you want.  You also need your own original work to submit to article directories if you want to stand out.  The more ways you make use of articles, the more they can do for your business.
